My name is Hannah, and I have always been captivated by the power of art—to tell stories, evoke emotion, and connect us to the world and to one another.
For years, art was my language, my outlet, and my refuge. Like many, I experienced seasons when that connection felt distant as I navigated personal struggle and mental health challenges. Somewhere along the way, I found my way back to creating—to working with my hands, restoring old things, seeking out beautiful and curious objects, and paying attention to the moments and pieces that move me.
That return is more than personal; it is purposeful.
Through The Cabinet, I collect and share the things that make me stop—a photograph, an old object, a work of art, an unusual oddity, something unexpected, or something beautifully imperfect. Some I discover here in Northeast Ohio. Others find me along my travels and make their way home with me.
I am especially drawn to vintage and antique pieces that have lived a life before finding their way to me. I love the process of restoring them—cleaning away years of neglect, repairing what can be repaired, preserving the character that should remain, and giving each piece an opportunity to be appreciated again.
Not everything needs to be perfect to be beautiful.
A worn finish, a repaired edge, a little patina, or an unexpected imperfection can be part of an object's story. Restoration, to me, isn't always about making something look new. Sometimes it's about bringing something back to life while honoring where it has been.
I believe the things we choose to surround ourselves with can carry meaning, tell stories, and make us feel a little more connected to the world.
This is my small way of sharing those discoveries with you.
We often look at an old, weathered object and value it for its character, its depth, and the evidence of a life well lived. I think we should extend that same grace to ourselves.
Our imperfections are not design flaws. The things we have endured do not diminish our value. Like the objects we collect, our worn edges, unexpected turns, repairs, and beautifully imperfect pieces become part of what makes our stories entirely our own.
Art continues to be my healing, my therapy, and my voice. Working with my hands, creating, collecting, restoring, and discovering unusual and beautiful things has become another way of reconnecting with that part of myself.
And through The Cabinet, I hope it can create a little of that same connection for others.
10% of all sales from The Cabinet are donated to mental health charities that are deeply meaningful to me.
Thank you for being part of the collection—and part of the restoration.
